Imagine an office where you can come back every Monday, or more generally after a holiday period: more than a fancy exercise, it seems like a real utopia? In the headquarters of some large companies, this innovative concept of office is already a reality. In addition to being increasingly sustainable and comfortable, the office of the future offers outdoor spaces to allow employees to disconnect, for an hour or even for ten minutes, from the amount of daily work.
An example is the new Cbre office in Piazza Affari in Milan, which includes spaces for meetings on the terrace, two rooms for yoga and pilates, as well as a rooftop bar offering healthy and centrifuged food. You can then recharge your smartphone using the energy produced by pedaling the exercise bike. But the first building to introduce the concept of smart working was the Unicredit tower at Porta Nuova: inside it no one has a fixed desk and the station changes every day according to need. The new UnipolSai headquarter will soon be inaugurated in that area: it is a glass and wood structure with meeting spaces for employees and winter gardens. Even Amazon, with its new headquarters in Milan, has embraced the philosophy of outdoor spaces to work. The classic workstations with desk and pc decrease, while the relationship between inside and outside becomes important.
In the Santa Giulia area, the Spark One and Spark Two buildings will include large lounges on the ground floor, where you will find a range of services ranging from retail to bar. In Turin, “La Nuvola” in Lavazza has revived an entire neighborhood: in addition to offices, the new headquarters also includes a gourmet restaurant and an interactive museum. Always with an eye to green issues, as confirmed by the “Leed Platinum” certification of sustainability.
